If you have nothing else going on this Friday you might want to consider attending the opening reception for:

at

National Museum of Mexican Art

1852 W. 19th Street
Chicago, IL 60608

Anna-Liisa,

Since my first semester I've been working quite happily as a lab monitor in the CRIT computer lab in the Michigan building. We're open 11 hours a day Monday-Friday, plus weekend hours, so the shifts are plentiful and always very very accommodating to my specific class schedules each semester. It's also a fantastic job because I get to sit in front of a computer the whole time and work on my own school stuff (and catch up on TV...) in the (sometimes very very long gaps) between helping students with software or printing.

All this to say: Keep up the applications and maybe go talk to the offices you're interested in, and if you can get work in the computer lab or a similar job, go for it x 1000. Good luck!

Hi everyone-

I have a question about Work Study. I've sent out resumes and applications to no avail so far, but I'll keep trying. Has anyone had success finding a work study job?

And for 2 year students, are there work study positions you found worked well (or not) with your class schedule and coursework?

What blocks of time have people left open to do observation in schools? The positions want to know what times you are able to work, and my demands with observation during the week are still unclear to me.

thanks for the help!

Hi Folks - thanks for offering Alana a crash pad. The good news is that she got a space in the SAIC student housing.

Hi folks,

Need a roommate? New MAT student Alana Wynes is looking for a place to live. If anyone knows of any student-appropriate housing, please let me know asap.
