What degree program are you in?
Atlanta, GA
About Me:
I am a second-year grad student researching teaching artists for my thesis project. I've lived in Chicago for 9 years, but this southerner still complains about the winters here. I've worked in museums as well as at the Ragdale Foundation, an artists community that provides residencies for artists/writers/composers/etc... I'd be happy to tell you ALL about it if you're interested! :)
Activities and interests:
I love playing with my dog Harold, singing, dancing, and potlucks. Yumm. I'm totally interested in art as research/research as art. And I am suddenly crazy about stop-motion animation videos (watching them, not making them... they blow my mind.)
Books read recently:
How about authors? John Dewey. Maxine Greene. Eric Booth. Patricia Leavy.
Can't wait for winter break so I can read Audrey Niffenegger's new novel, Her Fearful Symmetry.
Favorite TV shows or movies:
How I Met Your Mother, Dancing with the Stars (guilty pleasure, totally obsessed), LOST, Castle.

Hi there,

John P referred me to you regarding my thesis research. I am a MAAE doing my fieldwork this summer and am having a hard time finding teaching artists to observe and interview. My thesis is about self-pedagogy and the teaching artist from the studio to the classroom. John mentioned Marwen as a possible resource. Any help or ideas would be much appreciated.

Warm wishes

Hi folks! A friend of mine, Regin Igloria, is looking for people to share a storefront studio space with. It's in Albany Park, near the brown line Kimball stop.

Here are the details from him that I know so far:

I'm looking into a 2500 sq ft. store front space that I will split with a few others (to be able to afford it). I'm starting a community binding project that basically entails members of…
